The Problem
In many cases valuable information pertaining to the position and orientation of a camera is not recorded in a database that contains motion imagery. Instead, it is overlayed and 'burnt-in' on each and every frame of video.
That is fine when a human is simply viewing the video, but if you wanted to store the video and populate database fields that record the time, date, place, and other descriptive information, you would need to have an operator type it in.
The Solution
2d3 has developed technology that allows for the reading of burnt-in metadata from live or archived video, so whether you need to populate your database of archived video for easier seraching, send live metadata to a GIS application, or time-synch your clips with burnt-in timecode, 2d3's Metadata Extraction software can help.
