Hours of motion imagery is not an intelligence product - In today’s global environment, situational awareness and actionable intelligence are critical to air and ground superiority. Manned and Unmanned Aerial Systems play a pivotal role in capturing this vital information with ‘eyes in the sky.’ The challenge is that these systems are producing volumes of data difficult to view with human eyes within a reasonable amount of time. Many times salient features and events go unnoticed or undocumented, and critical intelligence information is lost.

ENHANCE

It is no longer good enough to simply crop and forward imagery to the next user. Value must be added at every step in the chain. 2d3 provides you with revolutionary techniques to do just that - make your imagery better. Stabilization, spectrum optimization and super-resolution allow you to clean up even the worst images for wider consumption. Clips that may have been considered useless before, can now produce meaningful information and allow for more rapid decisions.

EXPLOIT

Imagery is not just for viewing. Information is contained in each image and each frame of video that can be used to mathematically produce video or metadata output. New data can be generated from nothing more than the source imagery.

The 'soda-straw' effect makes maintaining situational awareness difficult and many times a user is unable to identify an event simply because he was not looking at that part of the screen. 2d3's mosaicing capability, when executed through TacitView, allows a user to create still images for either a collection of still images, or a video sequence. Now a large image of the entire context can be created and viewed as a whole. Add position and pointing metadata, and the image can be geo-located and exported to a variety of GIS applications.

Ever tried to see an ant on the ground when you are moving in a car? That is what it is like to look through an airborne EO or IR imager and try to pick out the bad guys on the ground. 2d3 has implemented moving target indication into TacitView to allow operators of even the most basic aerial imaging systems to pick out the motion from the video sequence. MTI will detect and track moving targets in the scene as long as they are in the field of view.

The world is not flat (Columbus proved it). It is not always applicable to assume that your imagery came from a planar surface - it came from the earth and stuff man has built on it. Therefore, you need a way to view imagery on the geometry that created it in the first place. 2d3 has developed an ability to reconstruct 3d terrain from 2d motion and still imagery. Given enough overlap between frames, we can build a 3d model of the underlying terrain, then apply a mosaic (created from the same imagery) on top of it. Give your operators up to date terrain and texture information.

EXPORT

None of these tools are worth much if you cannot get the results to the people that need them. TacitView allows you to quickly create intelligence product in the formats most commonly used with the click of a mouse. Use our interface to arrange and build your intelligence product, then choose the output format and you are done.

TacitView is designed for interoperability with a wide array of existing systems and is capable of accepting analog, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264, MOV, MJPEG, JPEG, and many other formats of imagery. TacitView is also capable of receiving metadata in KLV, EXIF, NMEA, and other formats or even extracting metadata from burnt-in overlays. TacitView supports live connections to imagery sources, or can import archive video and still imagery from existing database and video management systems.

MANAGE

TacitView contains its own video database management system which acts as the glue for the image and video processing capabilities, and gives the user an integrated environment. The database can be searched with standard SQL commands and parameters, or can be searched using 2d3’s new map-based query system.

Find the imagery you need with intuitive search tools and unique presentation of query results, including map thumbnails, and 'age of imagery' indications.

Connect multiple TacitView stations together to build a imagery dissemination system that allows others on your network to share the same source imagery or view the imagery created by a particular analyst.

A webpage can only do so much, please contact 2d3 today to arrange for a private demonstration, and start creating intelligent imagery products. Our contact information is on the left hand side of this page.
